Rent: $1500/month, which includes heat and water
Security deposit: $1500
Move-in date: 4/1/2019
Location: W 101st St
Term: 12 months, with option to renew
We’re two guys, Japanese and American, who are looking for a third roommate (male or female) to move in April 1st. You’ll have your own bedroom, which comes fully furnished with a twin bed, desk, chair, nightstand, and closet. The apartment is on W 101st St located next to Central Park on a fourth floor walk-up, and is newly renovated on a quiet side street. Our ideal roommate is someone who prefers the apartment clean and quiet.
The apartment includes a futon, dining table, and wall-mounted tv. Refrigerator, stoves, and oven in the kitchen. There is also a washer/dryer machine in the kitchen, and we’ll all be sharing one bathroom.
We’re asking for first and last month’s rent, and security deposit ($4500 total). We’ll evenly split internet ($20 per person each month) and electricity (variable depending on time of year, so could be $20-$100 per person per month with summer being more expensive). Our lease is for a year until March 2020, so ideally we would like someone planning to stay for that time.
About us (A and K)
We’re both in our mid-20s, work for the same Big 4 accounting firm, and we’re both laid back and easy going. We’ll mostly be lowkey during the weekends, and won’t have many visitors in the apartment. Occasional drink, and don’t smoke or do any drugs.
A enjoys spending time at the gym, playing tennis and basketball, and playing video games.
K is part of a soccer league and will occasionally spend weekends hanging out with his girlfriend.
Neighborhood
The apartment is right next to Central Park and is located very close to several restaurants and grocery stores. Whole Foods is about a 5 minute walk, and Trader Joe’s is a 10 minute walk. Street parking is available if you have a car.
Transportation
The apartment is located two blocks from the B/C subway trains and is about a 10 minute walk from the 1/2/3 trains. You can get to midtown in 20 minutes door-to-door.
