Calling all young fashion designers & students!

Do you have what it takes to create a stunning outfit using two unique fabrics? If so, you might be interested in applying for the 2024 SAKURA COLLECTION Fashion Design award in NY.

This year's theme is "Natsu-Shiosawa" & "Levi's upcycled Denim". Natsu-Shiosawa is a silk fabric that is woven so thinly that it is transparent, giving a cool and refreshing feeling for summer kimono. Levi's upcycled Denim by One-o-Five DENIM TOKYO is a fabric that is made from discarded denim that is cleaned and restored using a special technology, resulting in a vintage and sustainable look.

The award is open to students and designers from all over the world who want to showcase their creativity and promote sustainable fashion and cross-cultural dialogue. You can submit one or more designs of women's or men's wear using these two materials. The entry is free and the grand prize is a round-trip ticket to Japan!

The award ceremony will take place at Texworld New York City, Javits Center, NY on Jan. 23rd 2024. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of this amazing fashion project with SAKURA COLLECTION.
