Japanese travel agency seeks a travel advisor.

Salary: $40K~(DOE)
Location: Midtown, NY

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES AND TASKS
1. Make airline, rail, car, hotel reservations using the Global Distribution System (Sabre)
2. Provide airline flight information, schedules and fares for business travel
3. Provide hotel rates, availability and descriptions
4. Provide car rates, availability and details
5. Handle a large volume of reservations while answering telephone calls
6. Interact with other travel advisors to coordinate work
7. Provide visa documents for international travel
8. Handle other travel related issues such as ticket refunds, airline mileage account problems, free tickets,
9. Handle hotel service problems such as overbookings, no-shows, direct billing
10. Liaise in Japanese with parent company concerning travelers from Japan currently in US
11. Arrange private trips for families of business clientele
12. Responsibilities may also include issurance of tickets
13. Communicate mostly in Japanese via email, telephone, fax, with clientele who are 75% Japanese speaking
14. Communicate with vendors (airline, car, hotel, tour operators) to complete reservations
15. Reports to Assistant Manager and/ or Manager

Working hours: ET 9AM - 8:30PM 37.5 hours/week
