Manager wanted for Japanese Dining Restaurant (Manhattan) 

Looking for a dynamic and professional floor manager / Maitre 'd. 

Requirements: 
Well groomed, good manners, punctual
Training staff 
Knowledge of POS systems
Passion for food, wine and service 
Multi-tasker  
Naturally friendly, warm and hospitable 
Team player and computer literate. 

This is a full time management position.

You must be legal to work.
COMPENSATION:

What are we looking for
• Be the face of the restaurant; have a presence on the dining room floor. Provide guests satisfaction and address any guests or service issues.
• Responsible and accountable for all restaurant and bar activities for lunch, dinner
• Recruit, lead and manage all FOH staff.
• Ensure the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably.
• Works with owners and Chef in developing marketing programs and executes marketing, strategies to maximize sales.
• Curate wine list
• Manage inventory
• Develop good working relationship with vendors & distributors

YOU ARE A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE:
• experience as General Manager in restaurants.
• command of P&L and cost control.
• Food and spirits knowledge.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, if needed.
• Possess an adaptable, gracious, inspirational, energetic, easy-going personality and have a sense of humor.
