Izakaya in West Chelsea looking for part time OR full time SUSHI HELPER. Pay is hourly, depending on experience. OUR COMPENSATION IS HIGHLY COMPETITIVE.

JUBAN, A Japanese izakaya restaurant located in West Chelsea, Manhattan, is looking to hire a hardworking, and EXPERIENCED individual. We are looking for a SUSHI HELPER to join our team, starting training immediately.

Sushi Helper
Sushi Helper will work directly under the Head Chef, and be given a daily prep list to be carried out before the beginning of service. During service you will be assigned orders to be made determined by your station.
We are looking for:
- A team-oriented, and hands-on cook to manage the ins-and-outs of our prep and dinner service.
- Someone with a level-head, who can handle pressure.
- Someone experienced in hygiene codes.
- Someone who is professional, reliable, and always on-time.
- A quick learner who will be able to adapt to our dynamic environment with ease
- Someone energetic - who will fit in with our dynamic establishment and team
Qualifictions:
- A SUSHI cook with extensive experience cooking in New York City.
- Fluency in English. Ability to speak Japanese and Spanish a BIG PLUS
- Experience with Japanese Cuisine
- You must have legal papers (US Citizen or have a Green Card/working visa).
- You must have an open or flexible schedule.
- NYC Health Academy Food Protection Certification is a PLUS, but not an immediate necessity.
