Experienced Bartender for Izakaya Style Teahouse

29b Teahouse is an upscale casual tea bar located in East Village that serves premium teas, cocktails, biodynamic wine, craft beer, sake, and elevated Japanese style cuisine.

We are looking for experienced staff that can cater to our diverse clientele. Knowledge of tea is not necessary but upscale bar experience in NYC or Japan is a must. NYC Food Handlers Certificate is a big plus!

As a teahouse bartender you are responsible for properly preparing tea (we will train you), preparing alcoholic beverages, developing new cocktails for our weekly Cocktail Omakase while guiding guests through the 29B Teahouse experience. Servers are expected to give service that is knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, and energetic while upholding company standards in a relaxed, yet fast paced environment.

This position has a flexible schedule and requires a minimum availability of 3-4 shifts (Thursday to Sunday) a week, working from 3 -11pm. Our teahouse closes early on weekends so you don't have long hours and dangerous commute home. We can help if you are receiving unemployment benefits so you don't lose them. We have flexible hours and it is a very relaxed space with cool customers. Busy but not crazy, dress nice, be smart, and have fun!
