Luxury Leather Artisan at Camille Fournet Inc. ,NYC

Camille Fournet is a luxury leather good company based in France, and a world wide player in the leather straps business.
For its subsidiary in New York, Camille Fournet is looking for a motivated and polyvalent candidate with great work ethics who will join our watch strap artisan team.

Missions:

Undergo a full training in watch strap making with the goal of producing watch straps independently in accordance with Camille Fournet’s quality standards.
Implement and respect the leather strap production procedures validated by the Manufacture in France.
Follow orders preparation according to production schedule and priorities given.
Confirm compliance with technical and esthetic standards to make sure straps meet client orders.
Maintain a cleaned, organized and safe working area.

Technical skills
Ideally 2+ years of experience in leather craft in Luxury goods industry.
Knowledge of leather and of quality standards in Luxury goods industry necessary.
Comfortable with technical plan reading and with measurement tools.
Ability to quickly identify malfunctions and to resolve technical issues.
Knowledge of the use of recent technologies (laser machine, 3D printing…) is a plus.

Fluent in English including technical vocabulary.
Notions of French or being fluent is a plus.

Computer skills
Comfortable with Office tools (mainly Excel, Word, Outlook).

Hours
Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week.

Work authorization
Work authorization in the US necessary
