Rai Rai Ken, New York City’s oldest ramen establishment, is hiring qualified applicants for the SERVER position.

[ SCHEDULING & COMPENSATION ]
-Average $160+/day post-tax starting pay (applicants *may* potentially earn $200+/day in the future after training and initial assessment period that lasts a few weeks or more)
-Compensation will be adjusted +/- accordingly depending on experience, skill, and demonstrated knowledge
-Employee pay is distributed weekly via check (separate from cash tips)
-Must be available to work at least 2 days/week and maintain a FLEXIBLE schedule (i.e. must work at least 1 weekend shift - Sat or Sun - in addition to weekday shifts)
-Must be available to work shifts falling on the majority of U.S. national/federal and seasonal holidays

Qualifications

[ NECESSARY | HARD REQUIREMENTS ]
-Must have up-to-date legal status to work in the United States (i.e. SSN required)
-Must have English speaking ability
-Must have continued interest in learning Japanese food culture, ingredients, customer service style, etc.
-Must be clean, tidy, and organized when working before, during, and after service and consistently maintain professional attire and personal hygiene according to our uniform policy
-Must accept FLEXIBILITY in job description with proper discussion and negotiation with the management
**More specific job descriptions and day-to-day responsibilities will be explained further during the interview process and training periods**

[ PREFERRED | NOT REQUIRED ]
-Wider knowledge and experience with Japanese cuisine, ingredients, food culture, history, and geography a plus
-NYC Food Protection certification (compensation may increase depending on applicant’s obtaining this certification in the future)
