We are a leading brand of casual bags well known for their style, versatility, and durability. Our company keeps growing and we are now looking for additional full-time applicants in our Sales and Marketing department in order to build visibility and sales of our lines.

Job Title: Sales and Marketing Assistant Hours: 40 hours/week (9:30am-5:30pm)

Location: Downtown Manhattan

Immediate need for a Sales and Marketing Manager's Assistant who will enjoy working in a multicultural, fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

We are looking for a responsible, outgoing, and hard-working individual who takes initiatives, gets the job done and is eager to learn the various aspects of sales, marketing and wholesale distribution in the bag industry. You will represent the brand, for wholesale, online and corporate inquiries, and help the company handle existing accounts and prospecting new accounts.

*TASKS REQUIRED:
1. Maintain and build on relationships with existing in-house and new accounts

2. Prepare and schedule appointments with accounts.

3. Develop different product assortments for each account based on the type of retail, sales history, and available inventory in order to maximize sales.

4. Organize, attend, and perform follow up for trade shows and expos.

5. Target potential new customers and follow up with qualified customers through phone calls, mailings, and in-store visits for New York retailers.

6. Communicate new styles and upcoming trade shows to customers.

7. Obtain extensive market knowledge across different types of retailers (i.e online, off-price, parallel exporter, ASI, etc.) and their concept, practices and procedures, and clearly understand how and where to create and capture sales.

8. Be a product expert, communication of company direction, policies, marketing plans and in-store merchandising standards.

9. Be able to communicate retail trends and competitive market position through analysis of sell-through reports.

10. Prepare and provide clients feedback after each visit and meeting.

11. Work with design team to execute and manage custom product opportunities with accounts.

12. Work closely with Operations on the management of orders from receipt through shipment to ensure timely delivery. This includes order revisions (additions, cancellations, ship window changes, etc.)
