We are seeking fun and caring camp counselors to work at Aozora Summer Camp 2022.
In this position, you will support the lead counselor to create a fun-filled Japanese cultural experience for the campers. You will also collaborate with other counselors and administrators to help provide a safe and secure environment for campers to engage in various activities.

Position: Summer Camp Counselor
Compensation: $16–22 per hour depending on experience

Hours:
35-40 hours per week for 2–7 weeks (from July 5 – August 19, 2022)
Mandatory training (20 hours) is from June 28 to July 1, 2022

Requirements and Qualifications:
- 18 years old and older
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Previous experience as a counselor-in-training, teacher, childcare, or related field is preferable
- Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor
- Fully vaccinated, including booster, for COVID-19

Responsibilities:
- Ensure campers' safety and supervise them at all times
- Guide and teach a range of activities
- Help to maintain all materials and supplies and coordinate necessary items
- Supervise campers during meals
- Instruct campers in daily routines and cleanup tasks
- Follow safety and emergency procedures and guidelines
- Clearly and effectively communicate in a manner that campers understand
- Provide toilet support for campers as needed
- Help serve nutritious snacks and lunches for campers
- May perform administrative tasks (filing, record keeping, etc.) as needed
