Manager, Internal Audit - JSOX Implementation
Responsibilities:
Reporting to Coleman’s CFO and supporting VisasQ’s Internal Audit team in Tokyo directly under the CEO, the Manager, Internal Audit will build and execute a solid J-Sox-level internal control system at Coleman, the subsidiary of VisasQ Inc. - a publicly traded company listed at the Tokyo Stock Exchange. This job typically requires the following key missions:
JSOX
Collaborating closely with the Internal Audit team in Tokyo:
Manages JSOX and internal control and implementation efforts, including the coordination and development of required documentation
Sets up necessary procedures for the above, including the company’s policies and procedures, workflows, IT audit, etc.
Supports effective communication between CRG and VQ and with Deloitte
PMI project supporting Coleman’s CFO
Support Coleman’s CFO in many PMI (Post-Merger Integration) projects, including:
Provides financial reporting in accordance with the legal and TSE rules in Japan
Supports any additional integration activities and special projects as directed by the CFO
Works with HR and Finance (and external vendors, as needed) to develop a standard approach for international transfers of key talent across VQ and Coleman and a system for managing the tax equalization process and tracking expenses
Helps facilitate timely communication between VQ and Coleman on integration issues
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field
MBA degree preferable
CPA certification desired
3+ years’ experience from a Big 4 accounting firm, senior associate or higher, with an emphasis on internal controls, audit/advisory and SOX/JSOX implementation
Fluency in English required; business-level fluency in Japanese a definite plus
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel with a general understanding of data analysis techniques
Strong analytical, problem solving, and influencing skills to drive internal controls strategy across the company
Collaborative team player with the ability to build effective partnerships across the organization
Flexibility and ability to independently manage multiple tasks concurrently in an efficient and effective manner
Ability to work in a fast-paced, global, matrixed organization
