Sushi Omakase Server for New Luxury Restaurant

We are a new luxury sushi omakase restaurant based in East Village seeking talented, motivated, and responsible staff. Opening in Winter 2022, our exclusive fourteen $300/seat intimate dining experience will be a unique experience for individuals to work in an exclusive new dining experience catered towards a bespoke customer experience.

Our high end omakase restaurant will offer staff the opportunity to learn from veteran chefs with recognition from major food critics, including the NY Times, Forbes Magazine, Thrillist, Gothamist, Eater. We are looking for a server/bartender that is excited about growing our new sushi concept in NYC. Please share your resume to initiate further discussion.

COMPENSATION: Market or above market compensation depending on experience and qualifications respective to the job listed

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Applicants must have 2+ years experience working in a professional sushi/omakase environment; experience with Japanese culinary traditions is always welcome, but not required

2. Communicate and coordinate with staff team to provide high quality service for customer’s sushi experience

3. Interact positively with customers promoting a friendly and enthusiastic attitude; resolve problems to the satisfaction of the customers

4. Maintain safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
1. Safe Food Handler’s Certification

2. English verbal and written communication skills to proactively handle all staff and guest requests or concerns quickly with caring and fairness; Japanese fluency is an additional asset.

3. Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environment.

4. Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States.
