Assistant Manager for Kaiten Sushi restaurant

Japanese First & Casual Dining Sushi Restaurant is looking for experienced and passionate Assistant Managers to oversee our daily operations.

We are “Kaiten sushi” dining restaurant where sushi dishes and/ or any foods are placed on express conveyor belts that directly deliver to customer tables from kitchen. Customers can simply pick up the plates they ordered, making it a fun and interactive dining experience.

There are many plans for new store openings in New York area at present, with opportunities for promotion to store manager or higher positions.
You will be responsible for scheduling staff to ensure there is sufficient coverage during each shift, and monitoring the flow of business during each meal service.

Assistant Manager Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist your store manager
• Effective and efficient hands-on leaders that directly work alongside employees
• Organized and adept with time-management
• Train, and supervise restaurant staff
• Create employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing at all times
• Handle paperwork and other administrative duties
• Ensure that the restaurant complies with all health, safety, and licensing regulations
• Manage inventories and make daily vendor orders
• Handle complaints, conflicts, questions, and suggestions from restaurant patrons and employees

Assistant Manager Requirements and Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Flexible schedule

Pay: up to $27 per hour (After completion of training program)
