Who we are:
Shion 69 Leonard Street is a high-end Michelin-starred omakase restaurant known for delivering authentic,”Edomae” sushi crafted with precision and passion. We are committed to excellence, creativity, and honoring traditional Japanese culinary techniques. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a talented and experienced Sushi Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.
What You’ll Do:
* Assist in sushi prep (Fish and vegetables)
* Ensure top quality and presentation
* Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food
safety standards
* Clean kitchen before service and after service
* Manage monthly inventory and ensure daily orders
For vegetables and kitchen supplies
* Help with menu development
*Receiving and checking all order
*Keep inventory organized and clean
Requirements:
NYC Food safety certification
basic excel proficiency
What We’re Looking For:
• 3+ years of cooking experience
• Expert knife skills & fish handling
• Strong knowledge of Japanese culinary techniques
And ingredients
• Passion for Japanese cuisine and attention to detail
• Japanese and English language skills (Japanese language skills are negotiable.)
