Retail Sales Associate / Cashier

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, managing cash transactions, and maintaining the overall presentation of the store. This is a great opportunity for those who are finding a job post high school, during College, or post graduate.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently while handling cash transactions accurately.
Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries regarding products and services.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, ensuring that merchandise is well-displayed.
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
Skills

Strong cash handling skills with experience in operating cash registers and POS systems.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
Proven customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming shopping environment.
Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store settings is preferred but not required. We will train.
Bilingual skills is not required, but if you can speak Mandarin or Japanese it would help.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type
Part-Time or Full-Time (Preferred)
Monday - Friday and weekends potentially.
Morning shift (8AM - 4PM) or Night Shift (4PM - 12AM).
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

Pay: $16 per hour initially. After probation period, $18 per hour.
