Seeking Line Cooks, Prep Cooks and Cashiers
Now hiring Line cook and prep cook! Work at the quick service Japanese restaurant Bessou at Pier 57's James Beard Food Market.
Part-time and full-time positions available. Must be able to work weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays). We offer a minimum 2 consecutive days off per week; consistent schedule; 1 week paid vacation after one year. Some tips are offered as part of compensation.
Job Responsibilities: Ordering, inventory check, sashimi (we are willing to teach the right candidate!), maintaining the space and training staff to be health inspection ready; report to owner and chef
Requirements:
-Minimum one year experience in NYC restaurant
-People skills: Ability to communicate with cooks, cashiers of all levels as well as converse with customers
-Food Handlers License
-Fluent in English
-Ability to speak Spanish preferred
