Osakana is a Japanese-style seafood market and sushi concept in East Village, NYC. We’re a growing team focused on fresh, high-quality sushi-grade fish and a welcoming kitchen culture.
We’re currently hiring Sushi Chefs to join us as we continue to expand.

East Village, NYC
(We welcome candidates who can reasonably commute to the area)
🧑‍🍳 What You’ll Do
Prepare sushi and work with high-quality seafood
Support daily kitchen operations
Work as part of a friendly, fast-moving team
Learn and grow your skills in Japanese cuisine
✨ Who We’re Looking For
Any kitchen or sushi experience is welcome (even 1 year is fine)
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Team player who shows up on time and ready to work
Interest in Japanese food or seafood is a big plus
Authorized to work in the U.S.
💰 Compensation
$20–$35/hour depending on experience
(We offer fair pay based on your skills)
Family meal provided for all staff, with a $120 weekly budget
Complimentary Pizza Friday for the whole team every week
