Job Description
Part of T.I.C. Restaurant Group, Sakagura and Kiosku are two interconnected but different representations of the Japanese culinary culture. Our motto: Enjoy Japan without airfare.

Sakagura, a well-known and well-established underground paradise for sake lovers and foodies, serves a one-of-a-kind menu that contains over 260 kinds of carefully selected sakes, authentic tapas-style Japanese dishes and home-made desserts.

Kiosku, located just a floor above, is a new concept in America, adapted from the popular Japanese convenience stores. We serve a variety of edibles from fresh home-made lunch boxes to imported packaged goods. Our vision is to provide healthier, easier and more delicious alternatives to the busy and the hardworking New Yorkers.

The position is two-fold. You will be based in one location, assisting the supervisor in connecting the two concepts.

Who do we need?

We need a self-motivated, goal-oriented individual who is interested in the food industry and the promotion of Japanese cuisine. We are looking for someone who is looking for growth, become creative in solving problems and willing to take charge from time to time as we improve and advance forward.

Responsibilities includes, but are not limited to:

Coordinating between kitchen production, retail business and outside deliveries
Building rapport, provide elite customer service and gain feedback
Order taking and increasing sales through delivery options
The maintenance of a captivating store-front by displaying and spotlighting goods
Recording sales vs cost, counting inventory, order as needed, and reporting
General office duties including filing, printing, scanning, etc.
Checking emails, dealing with reservations in prep for open and assist the maitre'd periodically
Skills & Requirements:

Work Schedule: 7am (sometimes earlier) Monday to Friday
Willing to stock and pack, and the occasional delivery service
Be enthusiastic, friendly and professional
Microsoft Suite, Google Docs/Sheets, Square POS, Resy
Speak, read and write fluent English
Japanese skills would be greatly appreciated, or an interest in learning Japanese
Spanish would also be greatly appreciated
