Are you interested in learning English with an American native from New York?

My name is Lisa Elias and I am an international teacher with over 30 years of experience teaching English to businesspeople, students and children. I am friendly and dynamic, and I absolutely love what I do.

I have been in my current job over 13 years where I teach English to teenagers and adults. I teach Business English, Accent Reduction, Reading for Pleasure, and ESL Levels 1-6.

My students are from around the world including Japan, Korea, China, India, Pakistan, Europe and North and South America.

I speak a bit of Japanese and Chinese, as well as Spanish, French and Portuguese.

I am available for both individual and group lessons which I design based on an individual student's needs.

I have taught a classroom of 35 students as well as small groups and individuals. I have also taught online
and in person as well as in a student's office or home.

For the past 25 years, I have rented out rooms in my home to Japanese English students and workers, so I am very familiar with Japanese culture.
